Sharing bluegrass records cover art, labels, inserts and liner notes. Click on any image for a large, easy-to-read (sometimes even printable!) version of that image. Enjoy.
NOTE: Blogspot has recently changed the default when you click on blogspot-hosted images so that they open in a viewer that doesn't easily allow for zooming in on oversized images, at least on my machine/browser. This kind of defeats the purpose of these posts. The easy way around that is to right click (control click on a mac) and choose open link in new browser or new tab in the drop down menu that appears.
Country Blue Grass Jamboree on Mad-Bag Productions, Inc.
Two-record compilation.
Quick Google searches lead me nowhere on this one and the Bluegrass Discography site doesn't seem to have an entry for it. No idea when or where this was recorded or released. There's also not much in the way of information or interesting reading on the back cover, but the front image is just too good to not include on the blog!

Released by Walking Tree Records (WT 101) in 1983. I don't find any other references Walking Tree releases, so maybe this is actually a self-released record?
I'm thinking Cranford is the proud owner of one of the top five names in bluegrass.
This self-titled record was originally released by Rounder Records in 1972... unfortunately, the "more modern" Rounder record label on this particular copy suggests I have a reissue.
Released by Fist Puppet (Pup 001) in 1991. This is the "green marble" version of the release. I've also seen a black and a plain green version of this record.
This is a compilation featuring bluegrass bands based in Oregon & Washington. It was released in 1974 by the short-lived Grassroots label (GR 001)... not sure if there were ever any other releases on this label. Full liner notes included.
Bands Featured: Dr. Corn's Bluegrass Remedy, Tall Timber, Puddle City, Muddy Bottom Boys and Sawtooth Mountain Boys. I do have other records from a couple of these bands that I'll post here eventually.
